Frank McCourt's childhood memoir, Angela's Ashes spent 117 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. After more than sixty-six printings, there are over 2.9 million copies in print in North America alone. Frank was the winner of the 1997 Pulitzer Prize for Biography and Angela's Ashes was recognized by Time Magazine and Newsweek as the best nonfiction book of 1996. The sequel to Angela's Ashes, Tis a Memoir, was published in 1999 and hit the New York Times bestsellers list a #1.
