Calling All Teen Leaders!

Join The Connecticut YOUTH Forum’s Leadership Network! There are only 30 seats available per meeting with a limit of three members per school. Students first to complete their application and RSVP will secure their seat at the conference table. Email [email protected] for a current schedule.

Open to all high school students grades nine through twelve; the Connecticut YOUTH Forum’s Leadership Network allows the opportunity for your voice to be included in YOUTH Forum programming! As a member of the Leadership Network, you will work with YOUTH Forum staff to create and shape new programs and events that target teens and help to advise the CT YOUTH Forum social media accounts. The Leadership Network meets at the Connecticut Forum Office, 750 Main Street, Hartford, CT 06103 on the 10th Floor. Meetings are typically on Friday evenings from 5:30-7:30 PM.

The YOUTH Forum office is right across from the Gold Building in downtown Hartford. Free parking is available at the Morgan Street parking lot (155 Morgan St S, Hartford, CT 06103) or discounted parking is available in the Gold Building (Financial Plaza, 75 Pearl St, Hartford, CT 06103) parking garage for $3.

The Leadership Network is free of charge, and pizza and bus passes are included.
Participants must commit to attending the majority of meetings.

What will the Leadership Network do?

The Leadership Network will create meaningful opportunities by planning and executing meetings for high schools across the state to get more involved with the Connecticut YOUTH Forum. These types of meetings will include monthly youth forums throughout Hartford and the YOUTH Forum Student Conference. Students will also work together to produce a YOUTH Forum electronic newsletter.

Members will also gain insights into how the CT YOUTH Forum uses social media outlets like Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook to connect and share information with our followers. Leadership members provide valuable feedback and insight by voicing their opinions on current and upcoming YOUTH Forum meetings.
