Host of WFAN Radio`s Mike and The Mad Dog show - Panelist Blurb

As the Mike in “The Mike and the Mad Dog" show, Mike Francesa brings his feisty, hard-hitting brand of sports talk to WFAN Radio on weekday afternoons. The show debuted in September, 1989, creating the two-man talk team that has become the industry standard, and they have been at or near the top of the ratings book for over 10 years. In 2000, Mike and Christopher “Mad Dog" Russo won the Marconi Award for Major Market Personality of the Year.

An extremely intelligent and articulate talk show host, Mike's knowledge of the sports world is said to be unmatched by anyone in the business. Along with stints at the MSG network, his career has included stops at CBS Sports, where he served as an in-studio analyst for college football and basketball. During the NFL season, Mike hosts a Sunday morning program,“The NFL Now with Mike Francesa," which is syndicated nationally and simulcast on MSNBC.

A graduate of St. John's University, Mike resides on Long Island.
