Jen Weiner's Headshot

Jen Weiner

Author of In Her Shoes and other best-sellers - Panelist Blurb

Author Jennifer Weiner made her sensational debut with The New York Times best seller Good in Bed, the story of a smart, witty plus-size pop-culture journalist whose ex-boyfriend chronicles their ex-sex life on the pages of a top-selling women's magazine. She turned her attention to the love/hate affairs of sisterhood in her second novel, In Her Shoes, which instantly became a best seller and is now a hit movie starring Cameron Diaz and Shirley MacLaine.

Little Earthquakes, Weiner's third book, which reached number seven on The New York Times best-seller list during the first week of publication, is a tale of romance, friendship, and forgiveness as three very different women navigate the journey of new motherhood. Goodnight Nobody, just published and immediately a best seller, is a whodunit tale of a suburban Connecticut housewife who fights crime between play dates, after finding one of the neighborhood super mommies dead on the kitchen floor with a butcher knife in her back.

Weiner worked as a journalist for ten years before her first book was published. Prior to the success ofGood In Bed, Weiner worked as a staff writer and columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer where her stories ranged from profiles of Wendy the Snapple Lady and Adam Sandler to long Sunday stories about teenage drug abuse, sex and college students, and her grandmother's gefilte fish. Her work has also appeared in Seventeen, Glamour, Redbook, TV Guide, YM and Salon.com.

A native of Simsbury, Jennifer Weiner graduated from Princeton University and now lives in Philadelphia with her husband and their two-year-old daughter Lucy.
