- Circles are best for conversations like VIOLP. Chairs should be in a circle; this will help take the focus off the facilitator; participants will be more likely to speak with each other
- For large groups, chairs should be set around circular tables to support connections, among participants, or in a large semi-circle so participants can see and talk to each other.
- Put ground rules on flip chart, whiteboard or your group can come up with their own unique group ground rules
- The day of the Discussion, arrive early so that you can set up and aren’t rushed; check lights and microphone(if necessary); post signs to direct participants.
