Jason Alexander's Headshot

Jason Alexander

- Panelist Blurb

Jason Alexander is perhaps best known as one of the key cast members of the phenomenally successful, award-winning television sitcom Seinfeld, in which he spent nine seasons as hapless schlep "George Costanza." While his character could be at turns pitiful, nasty, charming, devious and unscrupulous, the critics and audiences loved him. Alexander's portrayal was honored with six Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe nominations, an American Television Award, two American Comedy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

An accomplished singer and dancer, Alexander began his acting career on the New York Stage, and has since appeared in numerous Broadway, film, and television productions. He has won Tony, Outer Critics and Drama Desk Awards for his work on the stage, and a Drama-Logue Award for his performance of the one-man play Give 'Em Hell, Harry.

Alexander's diverse slate of film credits include playing Richard Gere's villainous lawyer in the box-office hit Pretty Woman, and many others including The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Shallow Hal.

In addition to Seinfeld, television roles include guest starring in the hit HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm, and the musicals Bye, Bye Birdie and Cinderella. A frequent contributor to several animated features and television series, Alexander starred in the prime-time animated series Duckman for four seasons. He has also directed films and TV shows and created the PBS children's television series The Magic Schoolbus.

He has been the national spokesman for the Scleroderma Foundation, dedicated to raising awareness of the disease and assisting those who are afflicted.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Alexander is an avid poker player, a talented magician, and a great fan of the original "Star Trek."
